RESIDENTAL SOLAR LEASING & ZERO DOWN OPTIONS
EOS ACQUIRES URBAN ECO ELECTRIC

Eos and Urban Eco Electric (“UEE”) are pleased to announce that Eos will now bring its substantial experience and financial resources to the UEE (www.go-uee.com) customer base. Over 100 Philadelphia homeowners have signed-up with UEE, and Eos is prepared to build all 100 system in 2010.
Eos will be working with the UEE customers to attempt to realize the UEE concept of residential solar power leasing. With its finance partners, Eos will also be offering the UEE customers an opportunity to own their system outright, and to reap all of the financial benefits of a solar power system with little or now down money. In February, Eos will be contacting all UEE customers to explain the new options.
Eos is delighted that UEE has selected us to carry forward their concept of affordable solar power in Philadelphia. We are confident we can build all 100 UEE projects in 2010.
David Blumenfeld, Founder of UEE is equally enthusiastic about the acquisition. "UEE needed a partner that not only understood the financial concept of the UEE business model, but which also had the resources and the experience to quickly design and build over 100 solar power systems. We spoke to many prospective partners, but no other company in Philadelphia came close to matching the experience and resources of the team at Eos."

TAX POLICY CONTIUES TO DRIVE SOLAR INVESTMENTS
AS OUR THOUGHTS TURN TO TAX SEASON…..
The outstanding ROIs on solar investments that are currently available to homeowners and businesses are facilitated largely by tax policy. The next Eos Solar Initiatives e-newsletter will be largely devoted to a discussion and explanation of available tax incentives (not to be confused with straight rebates, which are now also available in Pennsylvania).
The already terrific 30% Federal Investment Tax Credit program was further improved as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the “Stimulus Package”). Qualified businesses can now receive their 30% cost offset as a one-time check from the Treasury Department, often in as little as 60 days after system commissioning. If you cannot wait for the details in our next e-newsletter, information is available by clicking here.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania also offers a substantial Alternative Energy Production (AEP) Tax Credit in addition to generous rebates. Qualified businesses and some homeowners are eligible for a 15% ITC on the portions of the project cost which are not otherwise subsidized. There is $5 million of tax credit available for the 2009/10. If you cannot wait for the details in our next e-newsletter, click here for additional information.
